Peter M. Bentler, Distinguished
Professor of Psychology and Statistics at the University of California, Los Angeles, and
the developer with Eric Wu of the EQS Structural Equations Program, recently received
professional recognition and awards as follows:
- Recipient of the Sells
Award for Outstanding Career Contributions to Multivariate Experimental Psychology,
the highest honor given by the Society of Multivariate Experimental Psychology.
- Elected President of the Western Psychological Association for
2007-8.
- Joint recipient, with Karl Jöreskog, of the 2007 American
Psychological Association’s Distinguished
Scientific Award for the Applications of Psychology.
