Due to incompatibilities between
EQS for Macintosh and versions 9 and 10 of the Mac operating systems, we have discontinued
sales of EQS for Mac.
EQS 6 for Mac UNIX is currently available and will
work on any Mac with OS X. Unlike other Mac products with a graphical user
interface, it, however, will only work in the UNIX mode of the Mac OS X. This is
text- and command-oriented. The input file and program output is described in the
EQS 6.1 Structural Equations Program Manual.
To use EQS 6 for Mac UNIX, you must enter the
Terminal Mode of the Mac OS X. After downloading EQS 6 for Mac UNIX, you must run a
setup program to create an UNIX script called "eqs". This "eqs"
script requires you to enter the EQS input model file name, output file name, etc. then
submit the job to your Mac UNIX system. When the job is complete, you must use a
text editor or a word processor program to open and review the EQS output file.
